Dosage (Posology) and method of administration

V/v, в виде медленной одночасовой инфузии, по 400 мг каждые 12 ч.

The contents of one ampoule (400 mg) are diluted with 250 ml of 5% glucose solution.

Abactal® must not be diluted with a sodium chloride solution or any solvent containing chlorine ions. To quickly achieve an effective concentration in the blood at the beginning of treatment, you can prescribe a shock dose of 800 mg of the drug.

To prevent infections in surgery, it is recommended to administer 400-800 mg of pefloxacin 1 hour before surgery.

In elderly patients, especially with concomitant renal impairment, the dose should be reduced.

In the case of liver disease, 8 mg/kg is prescribed as an infusion for 1 hour:

- 1 time a day (jaundice)

- every 36 hours (ascites)

- every 48 hours (jaundice and ascites).

The maximum daily dose is 1200 mg.
