Understanding the connections between brands, ingredients and countries
Pill2Trip organizes a normalized snapshot of medicine listings from pillintrip.com. We connect the medicine names in those records to their listed active ingredients and countries so you can explore names used in different places.
A brand name here is a name recorded in our source. Different spellings, transliterations and product variants may appear as separate entries. A count of names is therefore not a count of unique medicines. See our data sources and coverage for more detail.
A full ingredient match means that two records list the same complete set of active ingredients in our database. A partial match means that they share at least one ingredient, but one or both may contain other active ingredients.
An ingredient directory page can include both products containing only that ingredient and combination products containing additional ingredients. Atlas uses records with exactly one recorded active ingredient. Check the complete ingredient list on each medicine record: missing source information can still make a recorded list incomplete.
Neither kind of match establishes that medicines are interchangeable. Strength, dosage form, route of administration and release characteristics are not verified by an ingredient match. Different salts or forms of an ingredient should not be assumed to be equivalent.
A country association means that the medicine appears for that country in our collected source data. It does not confirm current registration, pharmacy stock, prescription status or permission to import it. Coverage varies by country and ingredient, and an absent entry does not establish that a medicine is unavailable.
Use the results as a starting point for a conversation with a local pharmacist or other qualified healthcare professional. Have them check the exact product, full composition, strength and form before any substitution.
