Where our medicine listings come from and how to interpret them
Our medicine directory and Atlas are built from a normalized snapshot of public medicine listings on pillintrip.com. Pill2Trip organizes medicine names, listed active ingredients and country associations from that source into searchable records and country views.
This is a collected reference dataset. It is not a live feed from medicine regulators, manufacturers or pharmacies. A record's presence on Pill2Trip does not mean that it has received an independent clinical review or a current regulatory check.
Coverage is uneven across countries, ingredients and product types. Records can be incomplete, outdated or duplicated under different names or spellings. Absence from our directory is not evidence that a medicine is unavailable in a country.
Country listings describe associations in our source data, not current registration, stock or prescription requirements. Collection and publication dates, where shown, should not be read as dates of medical or regulatory verification.
Complete dosage forms, strengths and routes of administration are not consistently verified in this dataset. For a specific product, confirm these details and current local status with its official leaflet, the relevant national medicines authority and a local pharmacist.
Products may share one ingredient while differing in the rest of their composition. Even records with the same complete set of listed ingredients may differ in strength, form or other clinically relevant details. Our matching methodology explains the difference between full and partial ingredient matches.
