Therapeutic indications

Qualitative and quantitative composition

Zest-M (rINN, or S-benzoylthiamine O-monophoshate) is a synthetic S-acyl derivative of thiamine (vitamine B1). After absorption, Zest-M can be dephosphorylated by cells bearing an ecto-alkaline phosphatase to the lipid-soluble S-benzoylthiamine. Zest-M should not be confused with allithiamine, a naturally occurring thiamine disulfide derivative with a distinct pharmacological profile.

Special warnings and precautions for use

There are specific as well as general uses of a drug or medicine. A medicine can be used to prevent a disease, treat a disease over a period or cure a disease.
