Therapeutic indications

An indication is a term used for the list of condition or symptom or illness for which the medicine is prescribed or used by the patient. For example, acetaminophen or paracetamol is used for fever by the patient, or the doctor prescribes it for a headache or body pains. Now fever, headache and body pains are the indications of paracetamol. A patient should be aware of the indications of medications used for common conditions because they can be taken over the counter in the pharmacy meaning without prescription by the Physician.

SUDATEX - DM Tablets are indicated for the temporary relief of nasal congestion and cough associated with respiratory tract infections and related conditions such as sinusitis, pharyngitis, bronchitis, and asthma, particularly when these conditions are complicated with tenacious mucus and/or mucus plugs and congestion. SUDATEX - DM is effective in productive as well as nonproductive cough, but it is of particular value in dry nonproductive cough which tends to injure the mucous membrane of the air passages.

Dextromethorphan (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant) is a cough suppressant. It affects the signals in the brain that trigger cough reflex.

Guaifenesin (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant) is an expectorant. It helps loosen congestion in your chest and throat, making it easier to cough out through your mouth.

Pseudoephedrine (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant) is a decongestant that shrinks blood vessels in the nasal passages. Dilated blood vessels can cause nasal congestion (stuffy nose).

Dextromethorphan (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant), Guaifenesin (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant), and Pseudoephedrine (Koffex DM Decongestant Expectorant) is a combination medicine used to treat cough, stuffy nose, sinus congestion and chest congestion caused by allergies, the common cold, or the flu.
