Overdose

Currently, no cases of overdose of the drug Betaleukin have been reported.

Contraindications

hypersensitivity to the components of the drug,

septic shock,

severe fever,

pregnancy.

Incompatibilities

The drug interaction of the drug Betaleukin is not described.

Undesirable effects

General reactions: in some cases-chills, headache, fever. These reactions continue for 2-3 hours after administration, after which the temperature drops and the side effects disappear. These side effects are not a contraindication for the continuation of the course of treatment.

In isolated cases: allergic reactions may develop.

Special instructions

If severe side effects occur, paracetamol, metamizole sodium, diphenhydramine, or a combination of them are prescribed, if necessary, the use of corticosteroids is possible.

Therapeutic indications

stimulation of leukopoiesis in toxic grade II–IV leukopenia, complicating chemo-and radiotherapy of malignant tumors,

the protection of leukopoiesis when chemotherapy is necessary for leukopenia (the number of peripheral blood leukocytes is not less than 3 * 109),

secondary immunodeficiency that develops after severe injuries, extensive surgical interventions, as a result of purulent-septic and purulent-destructive, chronic processes.

Pharmacotherapeutic group

  • Stimulators of hematopoiesis
  • Interleukins

Pharmacodynamic properties

Stimulator of leukopoiesis. It has a hemostimulating and immunostimulating effect. The drug enhances leukopoiesis and restores bone marrow hematopoiesis after the damaging effects of cytostatics and radiation, which is due to its ability to induce the production of colony-stimulating factors and enhance the proliferation and differentiation of cells of various hematopoietic sprouts.

The immunostimulating effect of the drug is due to an increase in the functional activity of neutrophil granulocytes, the induction of differentiation of immunocompetent cell precursors, increased proliferation of lymphocytes, activation of cytokine production and an increase in the formation of antibodies.

Special precautions for storage

At a temperature of 2-15 °C.

Keep out of reach of children.

Dosage (Posology) and method of administration

P/c or v/v, drip.

For stimulation of leukopoiesis the drug is used in a dose of 15-20 ng/kg of body weight, for stimulation of the immune system - 5-8 ng / kg. The course of treatment is 5 daily drip intravenous infusions or subcutaneous injections. If necessary, repeat courses of treatment are carried out at intervals of 2 weeks.

The duration of the infusion is 120-180 minutes.

Rules for the preparation of solutions

To prepare a solution for intravenous infusions, the contents of the ampoule (vial) are dissolved immediately before use in 1 ml of a sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection and the total volume of the solution is brought to 100 ml with 0.9% sodium chloride solution.

To achieve the calculated dose for infusion, the resulting solution is diluted in 500 ml of 0.9% sodium chloride solution or 5% glucose solution.

To obtain a solution for injection, the contents of the ampoule (vial) are dissolved in 0.5–1 ml of a sterile 0.9% sodium chloride solution or water for injection.
