Overdose

Acute overdose of local use of Abzorb is unlikely and does not lead to a life-threatening situation.

Contraindications

Incompatibilities

Canison® vaginal tablets 100 mg reduces the effect of polyenic antifungal antibiotics (amphotericin, nystatin, natamycin, etc.).

Undesirable effects

The drug is Canizon® vaginal tablets of 100 mg usually do not irritate the vaginal mucosa. The drug is not subject to resorption and does not have a general effect. Extremely rare is increased sensitivity to the drug.

Special instructions

The treatment of vaginal tablets is recommended to be carried out between menstrual cycles. To prevent reinfection, simultaneous treatment of sexual partners is necessary.

It is not allowed to take the drug through the mouth!

Therapeutic indications

candidiasis vulvovaginitis ;

colpitis and other superinfections (including mixed ones) caused by microorganisms sensitive to the drug Canison®.

Pharmacodynamic properties

The antifungal effect of the drug is associated with a violation of the synthesis of ergosterin and the cell membrane of the fungus. It has a wide range of activities. Fungistatic or fungicide activity depends on the type of microorganisms.

The drug is effective for yeast-like mushrooms, first of all Candida spp. (Candida albicans, Candida tropicalis, Candida pseudotropicalis, Candida krusei, Candida parapsilosis, etc.), Torulopsis spp., Rhodotorula spp. and mold mushrooms (Aspergillus spp.).

Canison® vaginal tablets 100 mg has an effect on gram-positive bacteria : Streptococcus spp. (e.g Streptococcus pyogenes) and Staphylococcus spp. (e.g Staphylococcus aureus) and gram-negative bacteria (Bacteroides spp. and Haemophilus vaginalis).

Pharmacokinetic properties

With intravaginal administration, the drug has only local effect, the minimum amount is absorbed through the vaginal mucosa.

Fertility, pregnancy and lactation

Dosage (Posology) and method of administration

Intravaginal once a day (preferably in the evening) for 6 days. If necessary, the course of treatment can be repeated. The duration of treatment is usually 6 days.

In the presence of candidiasis vulvit or candidiasis balanite, it is recommended to simultaneously appoint Canison® 1% cream, applying it externally (2-3 times a day for 6-12 days) to affected areas.

The use of vaginal tablets using a vaginal applicator :

the vaginal tablet is removed from the package and is inserted into the vaginal applicator; the vaginal applicator with the vaginal tablet is inserted deep into the vagina, and its piston is neatly promoted to the end (thus the vaginal tablet will enter the vagina); after using the vaginal applicator is thoroughly washed with warm water. It is not recommended to wash the vaginal applicator with boiling water!
