Incompatibilities

Other β2- adrenomimetic agents and theophylline enhance the effect of salbutamol and increase the likelihood of side effects.

The Drug Carnal® do not prescribe at the same time with drugs containing codeine and other antitussive agents, because this makes it difficult to discharge liquefied sputum.

A part of the drug Carnal® bromhexine promotes the penetration of antibiotics (erythromycin, cephalexin, oxytetracycline) into the lung tissue.

It is not recommended to use the drug Carnal® concomitantly with non-selective beta-blockers, such as propranolol.

A part of the drug Carnal® salbutamol is not recommended for patients who receive MAO inhibitors.

  • Secretolytics and stimulants of motor function of the respiratory tract in combinations

Pharmacodynamic properties

A combined preparation consisting of ingredients used for the symptomatic treatment of cough in various lung diseases. It has bronchodilatory, mucolytic and expectorant effects.

Salbutamol it has a bronchodilator effect by selective action on β2- adrenergic receptors of the bronchi.

Bromhexine dilutes sputum, increases its volume. The mucolytic effect is due to the ability to depolymerize and dilute mucoproteins and mucopolysaccharide fibers.

Guaifenesin it has an expectorant effect. Reduces the adhesion, surface tension of sputum, which improves its discharge.

Menthol it has weak antiseptic properties, has a calming effect and reduces irritation of the mucous membrane of the respiratory tract.
