Ventrisol

Overdose

Symptoms (with prolonged reception of doses exceeding the recommended): impaired renal function. These symptoms are completely reversible when canceling Bismuth subcitrate colloid®.

Treatment: gastric lavage, the purpose of activated carbon and salt laxatives. Further treatment should be symptomatic. In case of impaired renal function, accompanied by a high level of vismut in the blood plasma, the use of complex converters is dimercaptoantar and dimercaptopropanasulfonic acid. In the event of a pronounced violation of the function of the kidneys, hemodialysis is shown.

Contraindications

Pharmacodynamic properties

Selectively envelops the ulcerated sections of the mucous membrane of the stomach or duodenum and forms with proteins, released from loose epithelium tissue, insoluble complexes, possessing great mechanical resistance and strong adhesion to the bottom of erosion (ulcers): a layer of the vismuto-white complex fills the ulcer, protecting the bottom and edges of the niche from the action of hydrochloric acid, pepsina, and contributes to its healing.

Pharmacokinetic properties

The vismut subcitrate is practically not absorbed from the LCD. It is derived mainly with feces. A small amount of vismut, received in plasma, is excreted by the kidneys.
