Ratio-proctosone

Contraindications

Known hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients.

Not for use in the presence of infections.

Undesirable effects

In persons sensitive to any of the ingredients, skin rash may occur. Although less likely to cause adrenal suppression when applied topically, Hydrocortisone (Ratio-Proctosone), applied to a large enough area, especially of damaged skin for long enough, or if under occlusive dressing, may have this adverse effect.

Therapeutic indications

An indication is a term used for the list of condition or symptom or illness for which the medicine is prescribed or used by the patient. For example, acetaminophen or paracetamol is used for fever by the patient, or the doctor prescribes it for a headache or body pains. Now fever, headache and body pains are the indications of paracetamol. A patient should be aware of the indications of medications used for common conditions because they can be taken over the counter in the pharmacy meaning without prescription by the Physician.

The local anaesthetic Cinchocaine (Ratio-Proctosone) relieves pain and relaxes sphincteric spasm. Pruritis and inflammation are relieved by Hydrocortisone (Ratio-Proctosone), which also decreases serious discharge.

this medicine is, therefore, useful for the short term relief (not more than 7 days) of pain, irritation and pruritis associated with haemorrhoids and pruritis ani.
