Like other cephalosporins of the third generation, it acts on most Gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms. Resistant to the action of beta-lactamases of microorganisms. It does not act on Streptococcus spp. group D, Staphylococcus spp., resistant to methicillin, Corynebacterium groups J and K, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Listeria monocytogenes, Acinetobacter baumannii, Clostridium difficile, Bacteroides spp.
It penetrates well into the lung tissue, bronchial mucosa, pleural fluid, palatine tonsils, interstitial fluid. It is displayed mainly in an unchanged form.
