Calcium pantothenate is easily absorbed in the intestine and is broken down, releasing pantothenic acid. Pantothenic acid is involved in carbohydrate and fat metabolism, stimulates the formation of corticosteroids, accelerates the regeneration processes. About 60% is excreted in the urine, partially in the feces.

Dosage (Posology) and method of administration

Inside, before meals, children from 14 years and adults-0.1-0.2 g (1-2 tablets) 2-4 times a day. Children: from 1 year to 3 years — 1/2-1 tab. (0.05-0.1 g) per day, from 3 to 14 years-1-2 tab. (0.1–0.2 g) 2 times a day. With postoperative intestinal atony — 0.25 g every 6 hours. The maximum daily dose for adults is 0.4–0.8 g. The course of taking the drug depends on the patient's condition and is recommended by the doctor.
