Pharmacodynamic properties

Reduces the tone and contractile activity of the smooth muscles of the gastrointestinal tract. It does not have atropine-like properties, with low toxicity, it does not cause teratogenic, mutagenic and embryotoxic effects (in experimental studies).

About 5% of the administered dose is absorbed, most of it is excreted in the bile.
