Isoconazole is a synthetic derivative of imidazole. It has a local antifungal and antibacterial effect. It acts fungistatically, with an increase in concentration — fungicidal. It suppresses the synthesis of ergosterol and changes the composition of the microbial cell membrane. Active against dermatophytes Trichophyton spp., Microsporum spp., Epidermophyton spp., mold, yeast, and yeast-like fungi (Candida spp., Pityrosporum orbiculare), and Corynebacterium minutissimum the causative agent of erythrasma and gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus spp., Streptococcus spp.
It inhibits the synthesis of ergosterol and changes the composition of the microbial cell membrane. The spectrum of action includes dermatophytes, yeast, yeast-like, mold fungi, Gram-positive microorganisms (staphylococci, micrococci, streptococci, etc.).
When applied to the skin, the systemic absorption is negligible.
Bescil
Isoconazole
Externally, adults and children from the age of 1 month. Bescil is applied in a thin layer to the affected areas of the skin and lightly rubbed 1 time a day. The course of treatment is usually 2-3 weeks, with the localization of mycoses in the folds-up to 4 weeks. It is possible to conduct a longer course of treatment. To prevent relapse, treatment should be continued for 2 weeks after the resolution of clinical manifestations.
Intravaginal, the suppository is injected deep into the vagina with the help of finger pads, in the "lying down" position, just before bedtime, 1 time per day once.
Treatment should not be performed during menstruation.
