Incompatibilities

Hypoglycemia is increased by alcohol, acetylsalicylic acid, amphetamine, anabolic steroids, alpha - and beta-blockers, clofibrate, cyclophosphamide, fenfluramine, methyldopa, MAO inhibitors, tetracyclines, etc., weaken — chlorprotixen, diazoxide, diuretics, glucocorticoids, hormonal contraceptives, heparin, isoniazid, lithium carbonate, nicotinic acid, phenothiazines, phenytoin, direct-acting adrenomimetics, tricyclic antidepressants. Thyroid hormones, salicylates, reserpine can both increase and decrease the effect. Reduces the tolerance of alcohol.

Undesirable effects

Hypoglycemia (up to hypoglycemic coma with loss of consciousness), allergic reactions: redness of the skin, itching, rash, blisters, changes in visual acuity, swelling, locally: exhaustion or proliferation of adipose tissue, necrosis.

Therapeutic indications

Type I and type II diabetes mellitus (in type II diabetes, it is prescribed in combination with sulfonylurea derivatives, if their isolated use is not effective).

1 ml of the solution for injection contains chromatographically purified porcine insulin 40 units, as well as 1 mg of methyl paraoxybenzoate and 0.16 mg of aminoquinuride, in 10 ml vials, in a box of 1 pc.

Dosage (Posology) and method of administration

N/a, 45 minutes before meals. The dose and duration of use are set individually. Usually adults — 0.3-0.8 units/kg / day in 2 doses (2/3-3/4 doses-before breakfast and the remainder-before dinner) or 1 time (when combined with oral antidiabetic agents) in juvenile diabetes (in combination with short-acting insulins), in juvenile diabetes-0.7–0.8 UNITS/kg/day. If necessary (in adolescence, at the stage of decompensation, with infections, pregnancy, in obese patients), doses above 1 U/kg/day are possible. At the beginning of the course, it is recommended to prescribe a single dose for adults-8-24 units, for children and with severe sensitivity to insulin or in combination with sulfonylureas - less than 8 units. Exceed a single dose of 40 ED is not recommended
